Liquor traders want more margin

Rajamahendravaram: Liquor traders staged a dharna in front of the office of excise superintendent at Y Junction here on Wednesday, demanding that the government increase trade margin to 18 percent. The existing trade margin was forcing them towards losses. 

Liquor shop owners stopped purchasing of liquor worth of Rs 20 crore from liquor godown since Tuesday. 

The agitators said they would continue the agitation until the government increases trade margin up to 18 percent and no liquor trader purchases liquor from the liquor godown.
