People trust GGH doctors, claims superintendent

Kakinada: Government General Hospital Superintendent Dr Raghavendra Rao said that the poor and middle-class people are coming to the hospital because they have a strong belief on the performance and services of the government doctors.

Addressing the media at his office in GGH here on Thursday, he explained various developmental activities taken up at the GGH for the past one year.

Dr Raghavendra Rao said after assuming the office as a Superintendent of GGH, he concentrated on providing the amenities to the public. During his tenure of one year, he had successfully established a CT Scan Unit, a 23-bed dialysis unit under the PPP (Public Private Partnership) system in the hospital. 

He informed that he had purchased Rs 15 crore worth of medical equipment for the hospital besides providing a pacemaker placing centre at the GGH. He had established a separate Ortho OP (out-patient) for the women at the hospital. The GGH owned five Maha Prasthanam vehicles and another two vehicles would arrive soon.

Raghavendra Rao thanked the ministers, MLAs and MP for their support in developing the hospital. Deputy Director, I and PR, M Francis participated in the meeting.
