Pithapuram officials urged to ply RTC buses to villages

Kakinada: People’s representatives of Pithapuram should take immediate measures to provide RTC bus facility to Gollaprolu, Uppada Kothapalli and some villages in the Pithapuram rural mandal, said State Weaver’s United Forum secretary and Ambajipeta MPDO Tutika Viswanadh.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, he informed that the school and college-going students had been facing difficulties due to lack of proper transportation facilities. These villages had bus facility in the past. However, because of the negligence of the then rulers, the facility was withdrawn.

He said that the leaders should focus to restore the bus facility not only for the villages in Pithapuram mandal but also its neighbouring villages like Divili, Pulimeru, Prathipadu, Simhadripuram, Kathipudi and for ADB Road.

He informed that the public depended on autos for their transportation which is expensive compared to public transportation. He suggested that the RTC officials should look into this issue for the comfort of the public at large.
