Mass chanting of Sri Rama Mahamantra concludes
Ongole: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s 14-day programme of chanting of Sri Rama Mahamantra from Vilambi Telugu New Year Day concluded on Saturday. In all, 1200 took part in the Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama chanting programme. Incidentally, Lord Sri Rama was born on Vilambi year. At the Shirdi Sai temple at Santapeta, noted seer Paripurna Siddhanti offered arthi to Lord Sri Rama.
Addressing devotees later, Paripurna Siddhanti exhorted them to sensitise people on Indian traditions to prevent forcible conversions. Earlier, mass chanting of Vijaya Maha Mantra and Hanuman Chalisa was performed. VHP leaders Parre Koteswara Rao, Tunugunta Mallikarjuna Rao, Alahari Chenchala Rao and activists of the VHP and Shirdi temple trustee and others took part in the programme.
