Government initiative to take schemes to people’s doorsteps

Kakinada: Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna, has said that the government is initiating steps to take the welfare schemes at the doorstep of the people.

Receiving petitions from the people in Prajavani programme at Collectorate here on Monday, he said ration cards, widow pensions, old-age pensions and  handicapped pensions would be issued to real beneficiaries. Many were asking for houses and they would be sanctioned in a phased manner.

All the petitions received in Prajavani programme would be addressed as early as possible and directions were issued to the officials in this regard.
Joint Collector-2 JRK Murthi and other officials were present.
