Submit details to take up MNREGA works, Collector tells officials

Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar, directed the officials to submit details of the funds required for implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) in the district.

He said that during the last year, the officials implemented the scheme very well and instructed to do works in the same way.He addressed a meeting in the camp office here on Tuesday.

He informed that works relating to construction of Anganwadi centers, Solid waste management sheds, compound walls for girls high schools, BT Road works, approach roads and nurseries would be taken up. 

He also instructed the officials to submit details of labour component and material component and benefit to be given to the beneficiaries.
DWAMA project director P Srinivasa Rao and officials of various government departments were present.
