Youth exchange event provides knowledge on culture, values

Eluru: Joint Collector-2 Md Hasheen Sheriff has said that the inter-district youth exchange programme is useful to the youth to increase knowledge on other districts and culture.

Participating as the chief guest at the Inter-district Youth Exchange programme held here on Wednesday, the Joint Collector-2 said West Godavari district was a diversified district compared to other areas and it had the potential of tourism places like Polavaram, Pattisseema, Kolleru Lake, Dwaraka Tirumala and Narsapur.

SETWEL Chief Executive Officer Ch Subbireddy said the inter-district youth exchange programme was taken up by the Youth Services department-SETWEL to create awareness among the youth on various issues in the districts.  He suggested the youth to be disciplined in the tour and during the boating in Godavari river. They should wear the life-jackets as a precautionary measure. 

Licensed boats had been arranged for the tour programme.SETWEL manager KS Prabhakar, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district representative D Sarveswara Rao, Prakasam district representative Ramalingeswara Rao, Assistant Tourism Officer Pattabhiraman participated.

Earlier, the Joint Collector Sheriff flagged off the tour of Nellore and Prakasam district youth team.
