Women prone to diseases, says Samaram
Vijayawada: ‘Andariki Arogyam – Arogya Raksha Bima’ was organised by Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada to mark ‘World Health Day’ here on Thursday.Participating as a chief guest, former president of Indian Medical Association Dr G Samaram said illness had become a nightmare for many these days.
Quoting World Health Organisation (WHO) report, Dr Samaram informed that 10 crore people were facing acute financial problems for treatment of various health problems in India. As per the WHO slogan 'Health for All' many health plans were suggested by the World Health Organisation. He said that in the 21st century, no one should suffer for the reason of not getting treatment.
He briefed on the WHO plan to provide health insurance scheme. Women had been facing various health issues like physical and mental illness. He said that hormone imbalance problem would depress them a lot. Everyone should be conscious about their health and diseases, he added.
