New courses focus on research-based study: ANU V-C
Vijayawada: Acharya Nagarjuna University vice-chancellor Dr A Rajendra Prasad has said the courses offered by the universities should be planned according to new research-based educational system.
He was the chief guest at the inaugural of a two-day national workshop, ‘MAT LAB and ANSYS’, organised by Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP) at the college campus on Thursday.
He said VIT-AP was always ahead in implementing and imparting quality education. Research should be done on new technology and come out with new inventions. The new international capital Amaravati should become the platform for new inventions across the world, he added.
VIT AP registrar Dr CLV Siva Kumar said that professors from various universities across India had come to adopt new technologies and new inventions from VIT AP which was a good sign for the new capital Amaravati.
VIT AP Mathematics department HoD Dr Shantan Mandal, research department HoD Dr Srinivas and others were present.
