YSRCP continues hunger strike over SCS

 Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP leaders participated in relay hunger strike on the second day at Fort Gate here on Sunday, expressing solidarity to party MPs who were on indefinite hunger strike at New Delhi for Special Category Status.

Addressing the gathering, the party city coordinator Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao said that the MPs would continue their protest until Central government accords SCS to Andhra Pradesh. The party president, YS Jaganmohan Reddy had never deviated from his assurances.
Because of pressures from all quarters in the state, Naidu, who opposed it from four years, took a U-turn and is now asking for SCS.

“The drama is aimed at getting political mileage. The people are well aware of the things and they will teach a lesson to TDP and BJP in the ensuing elections,” he added.Party leaders Kandula Durgesh, JV Lakshmi, M Sharmila Reddy and corporators were present.
