Dancers receive accolades at dance festival

Akiveedu:  A classical youth dance festival was conducted at Arya Vysya Kalyanamandapam under the aegis of Sri Sarada Kala Samiti in Akiveedu.Several dancers performed various classical dances like Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Perini Siva Tandavam, Odissy and Manipuri.

Dr Venkat of Hyderabad performed the “Ardha Nareeswara” Kuchipudi dance which received applause from the audience. He showed his skills in reflecting the Ardha Nareeshwara. Dr Venkat is famous for his dance of Ardha Nareeswara. Earlier, he performed 6,000 dance recitals in 45 countries.

Kakinada Classical Dancers Federation team performed the Perini Siva Tandavam in the festival. D Hemasundar of Eluru performed the Kuchipudi dance.  The dancers performed the recital over three hours on Sunday late night.

Earlier, Sri Sarada Kala Samiti president Dr MVS Raju , secretary Kommu Subrahmanya Vara Prasad,  treasurer Dr ASN Raju, town elite people KRK Murthy Raju, Vanapalli Baburao, Chunduri Venkatrao, Bobbili Bangarayya, Banda Rambabu, Dr Pratap Kumar, Nandigama Phani  addressed the meeting.
