GMC to give 5 pc discount on advance tax payment

Guntur: The Municipal Corporation (GMC) has decided to give five percent rebate on the advance payment of tax relating to second half-yearly tax for the financial year 2018-19.The house owners would have to pay tax by April 30. The property holder has to pay tax due in single installment.

The GMC Commissioner, Srikesh B Lathkar, Additional Commissioner K Ramachandra Reddy, Deputy Commissioner D Srinivas and revenue officials released posters relating to advance tax payment at a programme held in the GMC office on Monday.

All the  counters in the GMC and circle office will work on Sundays and holidays also. The counters will work during the lunch hour also. The GMC decided to set up additional counters  in the GMC office.

The house owners may pay tax through online with the debit and credit cards also. They will conduct campaign with the posters and collect advance taxes.The GMC Commissioner urged the house owners to avail the facility provided by the GMC and cooperate with the GMC.
