Women take part in Suvasini puja

Chimakurthy: As part of the ongoing Sahasra Chandi Sahita Atirudra Mahayagam in the Harihara Kshetram by the family of Minister Siddha Raghavarao, more than 1,500 women participated in the Suvasini Puja held on Monday.

The minister’s wife, Siddha Padmavathi Devi, daughter-in- law Lakshmi Sruthi, daughter Sunitha performed the Suvasini puja and Kunkumarchana along with the other women for the welfare, success and longevity of their respective husbands’ lives.

Raghavarao said that the mahayagam was being performed for the prosperity and success of everyone in the state. He thanked the Visakha Sarada Peethadhipati Swarupanandendra Saraswati Swamiji for guiding the mahayagam.

On Monday, Penugonda Peethadhipati Krishnaswami, Lakkavaram Swamiji, Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, MLC Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, MLAs M Ashok Reddy, G Ravikumar, Y Srinivasa Rao and others also participated in the mahayagam.
