Addressing the gathering, YSRCP city coordinator Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao said that the ‘rail roko’ was conducted to mount pressure on Central government to get the SCS. The ‘rail roko’ was conducted across the state on the call given by party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The party would intensify the agitation in various ways until the government gives SCS to the state.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who opposed the SCS for four years had now took a U-turn with the fear of dethronement by the people, he said adding that Naidu had colluded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cheated the people for four years and now trying to get credit with cheap gimmicks by participating in the SCS agitation.

YSRCP Greater Rajamahendravaram president Kandula Durgesh said that the party would never go back from the agitation until the state gets the SCS. He appealed to party cadres to extend their cooperation to the party in this regard.

The party leaders A Virraju, JV lakshmi, M Sharmila Reddy, B Srihari and hundreds of activists participated in the protest.
