Playfields to be developed across State

Vijayawada: Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra said that playfields will be developed across the state to encourage sports.The minister participated as chief guest at the inaugural programme of GoSports Sports Management and Inter Professional T20 Cricket Tournament here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, Ravindra said that the government was very keen on developing sports in the state and had established NTR Vikasa Kendralu at all mandal headquarters. After the bifurcation of the state, the government was giving priority for sports development, said the minister.

Ravindra expressed happiness over sports organisations coming to Amaravati to organise various sports events which were restricted to metropolitan and cosmopolitan cities earlier.

BCCI Chairperson MSK Prasad recalled the establishment of Andhra Cricket Association and shared his experience he had with CR Mohan director of GoSports.
