Cyber Technology helps protect personal information
Kandukur: The use of Cyber Technology helps in protection of personal and organisational sensitive information and blocks usage of the same by unauthorised persons, according to Vayuputra, information security analyst to the students of Prakasam Engineering College at Kandukur on Monday.
The Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy and eSF Labs Limited jointly organised an online seminar on ‘CyberThon 2018’ at Prakasam Engineering College. Vayuputra explained the students about various methods of data storage, data sharing and data theft and made a few suggestions on protecting techniques of sensitive data.
He said that the cyber crimes were increasing but due to the non-exposure to cyber technology, “We are able to solve only 10 percent of them.” He said that there was a big demand for data security analysts. Companies like HCL, CheckPoint, Core Security, PWC and others were recruiting the candidates with knowledge on it.
The college correspondent, Kancharla Ramaiah thanked the IT special advisor of Government of Andhra Pradesh JA Chowdary for giving the opportunity of online seminar to the students of Prakasam Engineering College. The college placement cell executives B Murali, R Giri Prasad, G Balakrishna and APSSDC in-charge M Gurubrahmam and others also participated in the programme.
