Dr Chinamilli gets international award
Narsapur: Sri YN College secretary and correspondent and Lions Clubs International ex-district governor Dr Chinamilli Satyanarayana Rao has received an international award ‘Global Achievers Award for Social Services’ by Global Achievers Foundation in Kathmandu, Nepal on Monday.
The college vice-president, GVK Rama Rao said the award was presented to Chinamilli Satyanarayana Rao in recognition of his services in health, education, literary and culture and social services. The Global Achievers Foundation awarded this award on the occasion of international seminar held on ‘Indo-Nepal Economic Growth and Social Development’ in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Dr Satyanarayana Rao has been popular in Narsapur and coastal areas as ‘Poor Men’s Doctor’ and Hastavasi Kala Doctor. He served for the poor for last 50 years as a medical practitioner. As secretary and correspondent of Sri YN College, since 1983, he developed the college from UG to PG, brought the recognition at national-level by getting three times NAAC ‘A’ Grade, recognised by the college as college with potential for excellence by UGC, New Delhi and brought the autonomous status to the college.
