ONGC donates cleaning equipment to RTC
Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset executive director DMR Sekhar handed over Rs 10 lakh worth of cleaning and sweeping machines to APSRTC regional manager C Ravi Kumar here on Tuesday.
The machines will be used in the central bus station for cleaning and sweeping purpose of the bus station. The ONGC donated the machines as part of Swachh Bharat programme.Later, ONGC executive director DMR Sekhar said that as a responsible corporate company, the ONGC was in the forefront in social service activities.
“ONGC is putting its efforts to strengthen the economic base of the country and stood in first position in gas and oil sectors. ONGC is participating in Swachh Bharat, Swasta Bharat, Beti Bachavo Beti Padavo, Skill India and Digital India programmes actively.
The ONGC is constructing about 1,500 toilets in Krishna, East and West Godavari districts as part of Swachh Bharat programme. Under Skill India Programme, 550 were taken for apprenticeship. As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, an amount of Rs 14 crore was spent in East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts,” he added.
The RTC regional manager thanked ONGC Executive Director DMR Sekhar for donating the equipment.ONGC officials PK Pandey, S Balaji, GV Anjaneyulu, Ramana, RTC depot manager Peddi Raju and others were present.
