2 Maoists held, explosives seized
Kakinada: East Godavari Agency's Yetapaka Police arrested two Maoists on Thursday, said District Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni.
He produced them before the media at the district police office on Friday. Revealing the details of the arrested Maoists, the SP said that while Yetapaka Sub-Inspector conducting cordon and search at the Pichhukalapadu T Junction on Bhadrachalam-Charla road, he suspected the behaviour of these two and arrested Kattama Adama (25) and Kovvasi Kosa (35) and seized Maoist literature and explosives from them.
The SP informed that Maoist Adama belonged to Sukma district of Chhattisgarh State while another Maoist Kosa belongs to Tondamaraka village near Kistaram village.
The SP also revealed that both were carrying an SLR and 12 Bore rifle. They were working as the local operation squad members since 2007 in the Maoist legions.
He said that they attracted towards the doctrines of Maoism. Gunni appreciated the Yetapaka OSD Anbu Rajan, SDPO Dileep Kiran, CRPF 39th battalion commandant, Yetapaka CI Ravi Kumar and SI Rajesh. The arrested Maoists would be produced before the Rampachodavaram court, he added.
