MLA protests for SCS for state

Pithapuram: MLA SVSN Varma said the deceiving attitude of the Central government would not be tolerated any longer and people will teach a fitting lesson. He participated in hunger strike along with ZPTCs, MPTCs, Sarpanches, Councillors, Municipal Chairmen and leaders of people's organisations held here at Uppada centre on Thursday. 

He demanded a reply from the centre for the quantum of loss that meted out to the Andhra Pradesh State. The state will be reeling under severe difficulties if special category status was not given. 

He said the protest will be continued till the special category status is given to Andhra Pradesh. Pithapuram Bar Association, medical, teachers and anganwadi associations apart from a large number of people gathered from villages extended solidarity to the protest
