TDP leaders join protest to back Deeksha by CM

 Ongole: Expressing solidarity to the Dharma Porata Deeksha for Special Category Status by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party leaders, workers and public representatives also participated in the protests at various places in Prakasam district.

Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghavarao, TDP national vice-president and MLC Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Prakasam district TDP president and Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhana Rao, TDP state organising secretary and ZP vice-chairman Nukasani Balaji hoisted their party flag at the NTR Bhavan before starting as a rally to the Dharma Porata Deeksha venue opposite the statue of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao at Addanki Bus Stand center.

After garlanding the statue of their party founder, the leaders sat on fast along with hundreds of their supporters and party workers. The staff of Ongole Municipal Corporation, including the Commissioner, Sankranti Venkata Krishna organised a rally demanding that the Central government accord Special Category Status. They extended support to the Deeksha by the TDP leaders at the venue.

The Addanki, MLA Gottipati Ravikumar and his supporters participated in the deeksha at the R&B guest house in Addanki.The Kandukur MLA Potula Ramarao, the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Committee chairman Divi Sivaram extended their support by sitting at the deeksha at Kandukur along with their party supporters.The Yerragondapalem MLA, Palaparti David Raju took part in the Dharma Porata Deeksha with the local leaders and party workers.

The Giddalur MLA, Muthumula Ashok Reddy sat in protest at the Potti Sriramulu Center in Giddalur and the Kanigiri MLA, Kadiri Baburao extended support to Dharma Porata Deeksha by fasting at MSR Road center along with their followers. The Kondepi MLA, Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, Damacharla Satya, AMC chairman Ramaiah and other TDP leaders and workers joined the protest at NTR Statues in Kondepi.

The Parchur MLA, Eluru Sambasiva Rao and his followers also participated in the Dharma Porata Deeksha at Parchuru. The Chirala MLA, Amanchi Krishnamohan and other TDP leaders in the town sat in protest at the Trikonam Park extending their support to the Deeksha by the chief minister.

The Darsi former MLA, Paparao, Markapuram former MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy, Santanutalapadu former MLA BN Vijayakumar protested at their places. The Civil Supplies Department director, Mannam Sridhar, chairman and vice-chairman of Chimakurthy sat in protest in front of the bus stand in the town.
