Janapada artistes get cash awards
Vijayawada: Assembly Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad has said government and eminent artistes should feel the responsibility to honor artistes.
He was the chief guest at cash award presentation to Janapada Rangasthala artistes. The programme was jointly organised by Saripalli Kondalrao Foundation, AP Creativity and Cultural Commission and The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amravati (CCVA) here on Tuesday late evening.
Andhra Pradesh Art and Culture Academy president Gummadi Gopala Krishna, Andhra Pradesh State Language and Culture department director D Vizai Bhaskar and CCVA CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy distributed prize money of Rs 10, 000 to each artiste.
The chief guest distributed prize money to the artistes Kumpati Koteshu, Kathi Nagulu, Yadavalli Narayana, Doraswami Reddy, P Ramanaiah, P Tawudu, Pasupuleti Venkata Narayana, K Anuradha, P Gopi and M Sangitha Rao on the occasion.
