May-Day Sports and Cultural Meet concludes

Eluru: Andhra Pradesh Libraries Association state secretary L Venkateswara Rao said that chess competitions would develop creativity and intelligence among the children.He participated as chief guest in the valedictory meeting of CITU May-Day Sports and Cultural Meet concluded here on Wednesday.

While congratulating the winners, Venkateswara Rao said that it was appreciable thing to conduct such competitions for the children.The CITU city committee president, B Somaiah said that the CITU every year conducting the sports and cultural meet on the occasion of May-Day.

The CITU district leader, Mavuri Srinivasa Rao said that the winners of the Sports and Cultural Meet would be presented the prizes on May-day.

Chess Academy Eluru branch head D Lakshman Rao, the CITU Medical Representatives Union leaders, VVVN Prasad, leaders B Jagannadha Rao, V Saibabu and others congratulated the winners of chess competitions.

K Mahesh Kumar of Eluru emerged as champion in the chess competitions with 5/5 points. P Divya Teja (4.5/5 points), B Dharmik, GVR Krishna, K Srisai Harsha, N Srikanth, Y Mahesh P Uday Kiran Kumar (4/5 points), S Venkatesh (3.5/5 points) and A Bhavya Sarita (3/5) also showed performance.
