RCM Elementary School turns Happy School
,Vijayawada: As part various social service initiatives to celebrate its golden jubilee celebrations, the Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada (IWC) adopted RCM Elementary School at Uppuluru of Kankipadu and transformed it into Happy School on Thursday.
Speaking at a function held to mark the occasion, the club chairperson, V Sridevi appealed to the students to make use of the opportunities extended by donors to achieve great heights in their studies and careers.
She said that by revamping government schools into Happy Schools, parents of students would show interest to send their children to government schools.IWC president G Rashmi said that as part of the golden jubilee celebrations they had taken up many development activities and Happy Schools was one of them.
She said that RCM School building was whitewashed, students were given school bags, library material was extended and play kits were handed over to the school correspondent. She informed that Dr PJ Bramhanandam and P Sivakami were the donors for the development of the school.
Donor Brahmanandam expressed his happiness that their donation for the development of the school was helping the students.The school correspondent, Sr Rama Mariya, MPTC P Ravanamma, IWC member Revathi, teachers and others were present.
