Tenant farmers to get loans

Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar directed the banks to sanction loans before commencement of Kharif season.He addressed a meeting held with the bankers in Guntur city on Wednesday.

He said that the state-level bankers meet agreed to sanction loans to the tenant farmers and directed the bankers to sanction loans to the tenant farmers. He warned that he would take stern action, if the bankers would sanction loans to the land owners instead of tenant farmers. 

He directed them to sanction loans to the tenant famers and extend helping hand. He asked them to sanction crop loans to all the tenant farmers. 

He instructed the bankers to sanction loans for buying buffaloes to the eligible and instructed them to identify the beneficiaries to sanction buffaloes and submit a detailed report.Joint Director of Agriculture Vijaya Bharati was also present.
