Auto drivers warned against overloading

Rajamahendravaram: Regional Transport Officer Siri Anand pasted road safety stickers on the vehicles at Pushkar Ghat here on Sunday, as part of road safety week.Later, she said everyone should follow road rules to avoid accidents. 

She also advised auto drivers not to run the autos with overloading of passengers and also providing seats to the passengers on either side of the driver which leads to accidents.

“The transport department is very much particular to execute the road rules strictly. If necessary, penalty would also be imposed on the drivers who violates the rules specified in Motor Vehicles Act,” she added.
