Telugu Yuvata protest for SCS
Bapatla: Telugu Yuvata activists led by its district general secretary Ravipati Sai Krishna stood in the sand pits near Bapatla beach on Monday, to express their anger over reluctance of the Centre in according Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.They wanted the Centre to keep up its election promise and fulfil the promises mentioned in the State Bifurcation Act.
Sai Krishna demanded that the Union government announce separate railway zone for Andhra Pradesh, steel factory at Kadpah and extend cooperation for the construction of state capital Amaravati and Polavaram project. He criticised that the Centre had cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh and felt that development was possible with the SCS.
