Unique protest by YSR Students Union

Vijayawada: In support of the ‘Vanchana Vyatireka Deeksha’ organised at Visakhapatnam, the members of YSR Student Union (YSRSU) staged a unique protest by standing on the knees at Lenin centre here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, YSRSU city president D Anji Reddy said that for the last four years, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy was protesting against the Central government to get Special Category Status, asking for fulfillment of bifurcation promises and to release funds for the development of the state. MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others were on hunger strike protesting against the Central government at Visakhapatnam.

He blamed the TDP for cheating the people of Andhra Pradesh for the self-interests. Stating that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s fasting was to cheat people, the student union leader dared the CM to prove his integrity by asking TDP MPs to resign. 

He demanded that the government withdraw false cases booked on members of various organisations fighting for the SCS.YSRSU members Rajesh, Nagi Reddy, Arjun, Ashok, Arun, Satish, Sai and others were present.
