Heavy gales, rains create havoc in WG district

Eluru: High speed gales and heavy rains created havoc in entire West Godavari district on Thursday.  Huge trees and coconut trees were uprooted. Hoardings erected in Eluru and its adjacent areas were fell down. Maize, Cashew and tobacco crops at Jangareddygudem, Kamavarapukota and Dwaraka Tirumala surrounding areas were damaged. 

Mango farmers in the district are panicked about the untimely rains. The fate of standing Mango crop is on doldrums due to the sudden downpour.
