Sub-Collector visits Yanadi Colony

Gollaprolu: Rampachodavaram sub-collector Dr V Vinodkumar, vistited Yanadi Colony at Chendurthi in the late evening of Tuesday. He enquired about their living conditions and amenities in the colony. 

He visited the colony followed by an order of enquiry from the district collector Karthikeya Mishra about the conditions of the 40 Yandi families. SC, ST monitoring committee member Kalyanam Koteswara Rao lodged complaint that the colony lacked basic amenities.

Residents of the colony explained the sub-collector that only 23 families out of 40 have temporary houses and job cards. They complained that the welfare measures are not reaching them. There is no drain for the sewerage water during rains and also there is drinking water problem in the colony. 

The sub-collector went around and visited each house and enquired about their financial conditions, education of the children, employability of the elders etc. He said that a comprehensive report would be handed over to the district collector.

Kalyanam Koteswara Rao, Gollaprolu Tahsildar Y Jaya, MPDO Vijaya Thomas, Housing AE Satyanarayana and others were present.However, Kakinada RDO L Raghubabu submitted a report on the same issue 10 days back at behest of the collector.
