SRKR selects 5 villages for development
Bhimavaram: Unnath Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) coordinator and SRKR Engineering College research wing Dean PA Ramakrishna Raju said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set up the Unnath Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) with a view to involving the experts of various sectors for the rural development in the country.
He addressed a meeting held at SRKR Engineering College on Thursday. The college CEO, Sagi Ramakrishna Nishanth Varma presided over the meeting.Addressing the meeting, Ramakrishna Raju said that the Prime Minister had shown keen interest in the development of rural areas and the Centre had designed Bhuvan App. The App would give the details of rural India's complete development picture like basic amenities, how many villages have to provide the facilities and other issues.
As part of this, the UBA has taken up the details of villages in both West and East Godavari districts and uploading it to the Bhuvan APP. He said that about 750 students of SRKR Engineering College were working in villages under internship.
The college had selected five villages for complete development and would monitor the development. It will also take the suggestions of experts on the quality of development, available resources and other issues.
