Basketball training camp begins

Kandukur: The training camp for the Prakasam district youth basketball team has started at Parakasam Engineering College in Kandukur on Friday, announced the college and Prakasam District Basketball Association chairman Dr Kancharla Ramaiah and treasurer Kancharla Srikanth Chowdary.

Ramaiah said that the training camp for the boys and girls would be held till May 23 and the meritorious players would be selected for playing the state-level tournament at Vijayawada from May 24 to 27. He asked the players to utilise the training by Srikanth Chowdary and use this opportunity to show their skill in the game. 

He promised to extend all possible help from him for the advancement of the game in the district. He announced that Jashua and Santosh would act as the coaches for the training camp.
