International player seeks financial support

 Rajamahendravaram: A Class IX student Gullapudi Siri has been selected for international boxing tournaments scheduled to be held during this month in Nepal. Her parents, Suresh Babu and Venkata Lakshmi, appealed to donors to extend financial assistance to send Siri to Nepal.

She participated in 10 state and national-level boxing tournaments and won gold medals in Under-14 category. Siri was selected to the tournament after proving her mettle in the national-level boxing tournament held in Mumbai recently.

Siri will represent our country in the international tournaments at Thailand, if she selects in the boxing tournament scheduled to be held in Nepal. As per schedule she should go to Nepal on May 22.

But, she is in distress as it costs an amount of Rs 50,000 to participate in the tournament at Nepal and she has to pay an amount of Rs 45,000 by Monday.
