Mothers drive society towards ethical values
Vijayawada: About 300 participants attended the state-level competition organised by Taruni Tarangalu to mark International Mothers Day, at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) here on Sunday.
The chief guests of the events were Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala principal Tummala Vijayalakshmi and Lakkireddy Balreddy Engineering College professor Umavani.They said that mothers would drive the family and society towards ethical values which would benefit everyone.
Buddha Vihar chairman Golla Narayana Rao, said that mothers should take the initiative and see that both boys and girls should be treated equally at schools and colleges. He said that these kind of programmes would help mothers to transform as ‘Super Moms’ he added.
They organised various competitions like cartons, paintings, essay-writing, poetry and story works competitions for participants aged between six to 60 years. The programme was organised by G Jyothsna, G Vani, K Preethi, S Ramya, K Satyavathi and L Sai Prashanthi.
The judges of the competition were G Sambasiva Rao, V Vallabha Rao, G Narayana Rao, Sarala Reddy, P Usha and Rageena.The winners for the competition ‘Manchi Amma’ competition were Malladi Shesharatnam (first), Tatineni Vanaja (second) and Garapati Nagalakshmi.
