APCC leaders stage protest

Vijayawada: Terming the decision taken by Karnataka Governor asking the BJP to form the government as unconstitutional the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) leaders SN Raju, Naraharisetty Narasimha Rao, Meesala Rajeswara Rao staged a protest at Ambedkar statue near Tummalapalli Kalakshetram on Thursday.

Speakingat the protest, City Congress Committee president Akula Srinivas Kumar said that the BJP-led NDA government diluting the Indian Constitution. He alleged that by giving chance to the BJP to form government in Karnataka without the BJP getting more than half the number of Assembly seats was a clear example of encouraging horse-trading, he said. 

To safeguard the Constitution and democracy they are protesting against the government, he added Akula Srinivas also blamed the BJP and the RSS for entertaining immoral and corrupt politics. He recalled Goa, Manipur, Meghalaya as the examples and now they had repeated in Karnataka too. He further said that the BJP and the RSS were conspiring to rewrite the Constitution.
