Two held on theft charges

Kakinada: The police here arrested two persons on charges of thefts in various  marriage function halls and recovered Rs 20 lakh in cash and 684 grams of gold jewellery.Disclosing the details of modus operandi of the two, Boddu  Kasseri and Vanamadi  Durga Prasad, East Godavari SP, Vishal Gunni on Friday said that the two posing as close relatives of marriage parties, commit the crimes when the family members  are busy . 

They break open the locks of rooms in the function halls and steal  jewels and cash. These two committed several offences of this kind in Kakinada Rural and  urban  under Sarpavaram and II town police  limits in the last three years. 

 The two committed thefts in Bhaskar Reddy Kalyana Mandapam, Ramcosa Function  Hall and D Convention Hall. The SP complimented SDPO PVRS Ravi Varma, Sarpavaram CI D. Chaitanya Krishna and staff.
