Indian Medical Association conducts CME

Vijayawada: Indian Medical Association and Dr Ramesh Health and Educational Society jointly organised day-long Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme here on Sunday. Eleven multi-specialty branches from across the State participated in the CME to discuss on advanced medical facilities provided at various hospitals in the state.

Addressing the gathering Dr Ramesh said 15 CME programmes were organised by them so far. He stressed on the need to organise more CME programmes to improve knowledge in new technology and new developments in the field of medicine. He said that most of the critical cases were treated here and people stopped going to Hyderabad and Chennai for treatment. He also said the AP doctors are on par with other specialised doctors in other states.

NTR UHS vice-chancellor Dr CV Rao said that understanding between the doctor and patient should develop as per the situations in the society. He advised the medical fraternity to develop sympathy with the patients instead of harsh and business model treatment. 

He requested the organisers to include a subject on dealing with the patients in CME in future.IMA president Bose, secretary Rishik Sanghvi and others participated in the programme.
