AP Scheme workers to join strike on Jan 23

Vijayawada: The leaders of Andhra Pradesh Scheme Workers Joint Action Committee (APSWJAC) said that they would also participate in the nationwide strike on January 23 demanding  the government to enhance funds for government schemes and pay Rs 18,000 per month. 

The JAC conducted a round-table meeting here on Tuesday. On this occasion, the leaders asked the members of the committee to extend solidarity to strike by participating at mandal and district levels. They lamented that the workers in various government schemes were being paid only Rs 7,000. They also said the State and Central governments were preparing schemes only to help corporate companies.
