Civic chief meets minister

Guntur: Commissioner of Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC), Challa Anuradha met the Minister for Social Welfare, Nakka Anand Babu here on Monday and conveyed New Year greetings.

Later, she explained steps to be taken to conduct the Janmabhoomi programme. She also mentioned the progress of development works in the city including road-widening, underground drainage and comprehensive drinking water scheme works taken up by the GMC. 

She also explained about the city beautification works taken up by the GMC and steps taken for ODF renewal.  GMC executive engineer, Lakshmaiah and officials of various departments were also present at the meeting.
