Ministers, MLAs and party leaders attend

Visakhapatnam: Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme was launched across the district on Tuesday. Ministers, MLAs and all the TDP leaders at their respective villages, mandals and assembly constituencies attended the programme. On the first day, the programme went off peacefully. ‘Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka’ and other sops were distributed.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnundu in Nakkapalle, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Madhurawada, MLC MVVS Murthy at One Town in the city attended and spoke about the TDP government’s welfare programmes. 

Collector Pravin Kumar, Joint Collector Srijana, Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan and the heads of all the departments were present in the programme. Meanwhile, the head of the line departments cancelled the leaves of the staff working at village and mandal level and directed them to attend the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme. According to the government directive, officials explained about the reasons for the delay in attending the pleas received in the previous Janmabhoomi –Maa Vooru programme.

In the evening, the Collector convened a video conference with the mandal-level administration and enquired about the first day activities in the district.
