Karate training classes for girls begin

Mylavaram:  A two-month long karate training programme for girls commenced here on Tuesday under the aegis of Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering and Saheli Club. The self-defence training programme will conclude on February 27. 

College Principal Dr K Appa Rao called upon girls to avail the facility. Saheli convener Dr M Uma Vani said that the club organised legal and health awareness programmes for girls earlier and now, the club is organising karate training programme. 

She thanked the college management for giving the club an opportunity to run the programme. Heads of departments, girl students and women teachers took part in the programme.
