14 more Sapthagiri Grameena Bank branches in Chittoor, Krishna districts

Chittoor: Sapthagiri Grameena Bank (SGB) Chairman B Suribabu has stated on Wednesday that the SGB will set up 14 more new branches in Chittoor and Krishna districts. Speaking to The Hans India, the SGB chief said that the SGB is the leading bank among regional banks with 127 and 77 branches in Chittoor and Krishna districts respectively. In 2018, the SGB will open 17 new ATMs in both districts, he stated.

Suribabu said the SGB has Rs 4,900 crore deposits and did a business of Rs 9,375 crore in 2017 and earned a profit of Rs 104 crore. The bank has appointed Business Correspondents (BCs) in the interior villages to extend banking services to rural areas. All the bank accounts will be linked to their
respective Aadhaar card numbers, he stated.
