Lives of 7 farm labourers snuffed out

Kurnool: In a yet another tragic road accident in Kurnool district, seven migrant workers have been killed when the tempo they were travelling in overturned. The incident occurred at Chinna Hothuru village in Aspari mandal in the district on Wednesday evening. On Tuesday, five people have been killed in a road accident in Kotekallu village in Yemmiganuru mandal in the district.  

According to the police, a group 30 farm labourers from Kothapet village Holagunda mandal went to Dorapalli village in Nalgonda district three months ago to work in cotton fields. The accident occurred when they were all returning back to their native village in Kurnool district after the completion of their work, the police official said. 

The police said that the vehicle overturned due to flat tyre.  
The deceased have been identified as Sheikamma (45), Narsamma(45), Hanumanthamma(16), Govindamma(55), Narayana(30), Eerramma(40), Mangamma(50) died on the spot. The police registered a case and shifted the bodies for autopsy.
