Sadhikara Mitra for every 35 families
Visakhapatnam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyannapatrudu said that the government has been implementing as many as 130 welfare schemes at a cost of Rs 65,000 crore across the state. There is no state has been taken up such a massive number of welfare schemes across the state, he pointed out.
The minister participated in the Janmabhoomi-Maavooru programme in the city organised by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. Addressing a gathering here on Wednesday, Ayyannapatrudu said that the TDP government was according top priority to the women’s empowerment. TDP founder NT Rama Rao was the first person, who had given 33 per cent reservation to the women in politics, the minister reminded.
Talking about the women empowerment programmes, the minister said that for the first time, the state government would be appointing one Sadhikara Mitra for every 35 families across the state. Later, the minister presented Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka and scholarships to the students.
Except a few incidents, the second day also went off peacefully in the district. However, at some places, people alleged that their pleas given in the previous Janmabhoomi –Maa ooru programme were not yet cleared. All key officials and department heads were present at various locations and interacted with the people.
