Welfare our top priority: Minister

Tirupati: Industries Minister N Amarnatha Reddy and District Collector PS Pradyumna have participated in Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme at Javunipalli village in V Kota mandal on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister listed the welfare programmes of the government and said that they were being implemented despite the state was in huge deficit of about Rs 16,000 crore. All villages will be equipped with cement concrete roads and LED lights, he said and added farmers have benefitted with loan waiver scheme to the tune of Rs 24,000 crore.

The Minister stated the DWCRA women in the district were given Rs 95 crore loans without interest. From Ugadi festival, Amaranatha Reddy said ‘Chandranna Pelli Kanuka’ scheme will be implemented, and unemployed youth will soon get an unemployment allowance. He explained Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took several steps and spent Rs 4,000 crore to provide quality power to farmers for seven hours.

In Palamaner constituency, 240 km approach roads with Rs 122 crore were sanctioned for which tenders will be called soon, the Minister said and advised the people, who were riding two-wheelers, to wear helmets.

In the health sector, the Collector said the government has been implementing 25 schemes among which five programmes were launched on January 1, 2016. Under the NTR Vaidya Seva, free medical tests are being conducted in PHCs. Joint Collector-2 Chandramouli, Madanapalle Sub Collector Vetri Selvi, and others were present.
