2 women killed, 15 injured as vehicle plunges into gorge

Bhimavaram: In a tragic road accident in Bhimavaram town in West Godavari district, two woman have been killed and 15 others suffered serious injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a gorge. 

The incident occurred at Yanamadurru Locks near Bhimavaram. The deceased have been identified as Sundari(18) Liza(23). Both of them were native of North Andhra region. Another 15 women too suffered serious injuries. All were rushed to government hospital in Bhimavaram. 

The bodies were shifted for postmortem. A case has been under negligent driving has been registered against the driver and investigation is on. The police said all the women are employees of Ashwinin factory in the nearby locality. All of them are said to be from Odisha and Visakhapatnam. The accident occurred when the women were returning to their hostel at St Ann's high school, after office hours.
