Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday opined that bifurcation of the state was carried out in an unfair and unjust manner. Speaking to media persons here in Guntur, Lokesh said even though the state was burdened with debts the TDP government has made all out efforts in implementing the promises it had made in the election manifesto.

The Chief Minister had to rule the state from his personal vehicle when the newly-carved out state had not even had an Chief Minister's office, Lokesh said.

While there were several political leaders who made big claims and talks on interlinking rivers, Chandrababu Naidu had put his thoughts on paper and implemented it, Lokesh pointed out. He further added that when all the states in the country have 30 percent of toilets, the AP CM ensured that all households have one. Now villages in Andhra Pradesh have 80 percent of toilets, he said.
