Chandrababu Naidu striving for women empowerment: ZP chief

Chittoor: Zilla Parishad Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash has said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been striving for  the women empowerment and introducing welfare schemes for the development of women.  The Government has decided to sanction the  fair  price shops to women, she said. 

Participating at a meeting held at Pulikallu village  in connection with the ongoing Janmabhoomi-Maavuru  programme on Friday, the ZP chairperson has enlisted the achievements of TDP Government during the last three and half years. 

She reiterated that Janmabhoomi-Maavuru programme was a non-political programme in which the public grievances would be attended. ``Irrespective of political affiliation, the issues relating to the public would be solved in the  Janmabhoomi programme.

It is not a platform of ruling TDP. Invitations were extended to one and all to avail the opportunity by taking active role in the JBMV . It is unfortunate that the opposition parties are trying to defame the Government by attributing false motives to the programme” she said.

She said that ration cards, house sites and social welfare pensions would be sanctioned to all eligible women.  Effective measures have been taken to solve drinking water problem in the district. She reiterated that the Zilla Parishad had alone expended over Rs.57  crore towards transporting drinking water in the problematic villages.

Hari Krishna,   G D Nellore Constituency TDP in-charge  said that it would be an opportunity for the elected representatives to meet the public directly and to hear their grievances in the Janmabhoomi Maavuru Programme to be held up to 11th January. 

The ZP Chairperson distributed the Chandranna Sankranthi Kanukas,   ration cards , scholarships to the selected beneficiaries. Penumuru MPP Haribabu Naidu, ZPTC  Rudraiah Naidu, CDPO  Padma and several TDP leaders were present.
