Hair e-auction yields 6.39 crore

Tirupati: The e-auction of tonsured hair donated by devotees has yielded a Rs 6.39 crore to the TTD in the monthly auction exercise. As per practice, tonsured hair was e-auctioned on the first Thursday of the month under the supervision of the Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju in which 1.87 lakh kilos of hair belonging to various categories were sold on an e-auction conducted on the MSTC platform.
