Deputy CM’s convoy vehicle catches fire
Visakhapatnam: One of the escort vehicles in Deputy Chief Minister N China Rajappa’s convoy burst into flames at K Agraharam village of Makavarapalem mandal in the district on Friday. The incident took place when the China Rajappa’s convoy was travelling to Narsipatnam to participate in the Janmabhoomi progamme in which the Chief Minister was taking part.
Fortunately, no security personnel were injured in the mishap. The guards jumped out of the vehicle after it caught fire. According to the police, the vehicle caught fire because of short-circuit as some electrical wiring was done recently in the engine. After noticing the flames, the driver stopped the vehicle. Meanwhile, China Rajappa asked a report on the incident, the cops said.
